Well, in my opinion if your on vacation in California you can't miss a visit to DISNEYLAND! This was a tradition we had growing up, and it hasn't changed. We arrive right when the park opens and stay until it closes. Now no one wants to miss 2hr lines and 95degree weather. That's what makes it so fun! This was Sawyer's first time and he loved it! He didn't seem to mind the heat at all. He even took a 2hr nap in the stroller! What a trooper! We can't wait for next year! Hopefully Sawyer will be tall enough to go on the Mickey Mouse roller coaster Caroline and I waited in line for. It took us over an hour to get to the front of the line, then they told me Sawyer was to short. Bummer!!!

Who doesn't loves chocolate covered rice crispy treats! Yummy!

Buzz Light year was a hit! Holli took Sawyer with Davis and Hillary. The boys loved it!

Jennifer was nice enough to make these cute shirts for all the kids. Sawyer and Grace were showing them off to us! Thanks Jennifer!

Sawyer has found a new love for Tigger! Aunt Holli bought him a Tigger pillow that he loves! It's almost as big as him, he tries to ride it. Thanks Holli for everything!

Davis loves all the Winnie the Pooh characters. He was so excited to see them all!

We had so much fun at Disneyland and the beach. We can't wait for next year. Maybe Mark and I will take Sawyer on a day trip back to the beach. That sounds like a great idea.

Last week we headed to Newport Beach for the Scharman Family vacation. Growing up we went to Newport every summer. Tom used to take us and we all looked forward to it. After he died the tradition stopped for a while. This year we headed back, but now there are a ton more kids! It is major chaos! But that's what makes it so fun!

Everyday Sawyer would either eat the sand, dump it on his head, try doing forward rolls or lick the salt water off the shovel. Evening tubs were a blast!

Hugs all around! Thanks HunterIsn't Brooke sweet!!!Sawyer and Jr... Watch out Jr!

A few more pictures!
Sawyer doesn't only love skateboards, it looks like he might also be a surfer!

Sleepy boy! .This is how Sawyer napped everyday, 2 hour naps outside!

Grace would let Sawyer rub sand into her back everyday. Maybe it's just me but I hate it when sand is sticking to me. Grace must really love Sawyer.

Grace is such a sweetheart!

Almost done!

This vacation was so much fun! Hopefully next year Mark will be able to stay longer. It's just not the same without you! Haley and B better bring the kids as well. Thanks mom for arranging such an awesome vacation. We love you! ( we did go to Disneyland, I will blog that tomorrow).

Sawyer's first Luau!

We took Sawyer to his first Luau on Saturday night. He loved it! We all had such a great time. There was ethnic food, Hula dancing from different Polynesian Cultures, and a wonderful environment. I'm sorry the pictures are so small but I did my best. Thanks to Don and Kerry for inviting us.

Lava Hot Springs

Ella, Adri, Rachel, Ryan, Peyton, Claire, Sawyer, Emma and Eva (we are missing a few that were still swimming)

Ryan and Sawyer

During the summer we try to take the team girls on a monthly activity. This month we went to Lava Hot Springs. The girls love to go there and it's a great time for the girls to hang out together outside of the gym. This way they really bond and build lasting friendships. Sawyer loves to hang out with the girls. Hadlee isn't in any of the pictures but Sawyer spends most of his time playing with her. They really have a great connection. Thanks everyone for coming! Next month maybe we'll go to Ross Park. We are open for suggestions!

The Park

On Wed I was planning on flying to SLC to take my mom to lunch for her birthday. My sisters had a BBQ for her on Monday but I couldn't be there. We had planned lunch so Sawyer and I could be there for some celebrating. Unfortunately, we were listed for the 6:30am flight. At 7:15am I looked at the clock in disbelief, we slept through the flight! I don't even remember turning off the alarm. The next flight at 9:20am, I couldn't get on. The next flight after that doesn't leave until 2:50pm. Bummer! I felt so bad that I missed all the celebrating. Please forgive me mom! We love you so much and hope you had a wonderful birthday. We will be down next Wed for sure. I will set two alarms next time!
Since we weren't in SLC Mark and I took Sawyer to lunch in the park. Wed is corn dogs. Sawyers favorite!
Sawyer loves the slides!

Look at his hair! Yes I said hair. His hair is finally starting to come in.
For the rest of the day, I strolled Sawyer around town. We walked all over the place, then went to Revive at 5. That's the concert in the park every Wed during the summer. We ended up having a good day but sure missed seeing Grandma and the cousins. See you next week!

4th of July

On the 4th of July, Mark and I headed down to SLC to let Sawyer play with his cousins. Hillary and Jason invited us to go to the Bee's baseball game and firework show. We couldn't pass it up. It just so happened my cousin Stephanie was in town with her family. It worked out perfect! We took all the kids swimming at the McDonald's house, had a BBQ, then went to the game. We all had such a wonderful time. Sawyer still isn't sure what he thinks about swimming pools. After he watches Davis a few more times in the pool, I think he will figure out how much fun it is.
Catelynn, and Hanna (I think its Hanna, she is an identical twin to Haley) watching after Sawyer and Jr.Debbie, Grace, Jason, Davis, Kennedy, Caroline, Haley (I thinks it Haley, she's the other twin).Paul and HannaAfter swimming and the BBQ, we headed to the game. The boys loved it! Davis is definitely going to be a baseball player. If you could see him throw, then watch him watch the game, you can see he is a natural. Sawyer loved the game as well but was probably wondering where his skateboard was. Don't you love the cotton candy face. It was his first time eating it and I'm sure not the last.Davis and Sawyer watching the game. They didn't win but we had a great time.Jason, Davis, Hillary and Sawyer eating cotton candy. Yummy! The fireworks show. This isn't a great picture but it's better than nothing. Sawyer loved the fireworks, but he fell to sleep during the finale. Davis wasn't sure what to think but stayed awake the entire time.

Thanks everyone for celebrating the 4th with us. We had so much fun. Can't wait for next year!!!
