Play date!!!

Since I moved up to Pocatello my social life has been in a rut. I have a couple friends up here but I spend most of my time working. It feels like I'm either at the gym, or at the airport everyday. Thank heavens for Wednesday's!!! That's my day off both jobs. Mark still has to work so Sawyer and I fly to SLC as you already know. This week I did something different. I arranged a play date with a couple of my old teammates Kirra and Jessica. Kirra is living in Orem, her husband is a professor at BYU. She has 3 children, Sid, Sarah, and Max. Jessica lives in Bountiful, she is a Photographer, and her husband is in the Real Estate business. She also has a boy named Max. Sawyer and I flew down to SLC and the girls meet us at Sugarhouse Park. It was a blast!!! We didn't realize how close in age our boys are. The boys are 2 and 3, Sarah is 5. She was like the big sister looking out for the boys. She's a total sweetheart. Both Kirra and Jessica seem to be doing well. I don't know about them but I had so much fun catching up and letting the boys play. We did have a funny conversation, we started talking about husbands. All three husbands couldn't believe we were getting together. It was like we didn't have any friends, none of us ever go out, they were so proud of us for having a play date. I found it hilarious! We do plan on getting together again soon. This time meeting in Provo, apparently there is a great pizza place. I can't wait for the next play date. Thank you both for getting together. Your kids are awesome! Sawyer looks at the pictures and calls them by name. I love it! We both had so much fun.
Here we are, Sawyer and I, Jessica and Max, Kirra, Max and Sarah.
I'm looking scary but Jess and Kirra look great! Great times and great memories!

Sawyer holding onto Max like a train.

All 3 boys playing in the trees. Aren't they adorable!

Jessica's little guy Max

Kirra's Max and Sarah (she has one more in school Sid).

I love this picture of Max

The kids playing in the wood chips. They played so well together. It was fun just watching them follow each other around.

The boys!

Kirra and Sarah playing together. Kirra is just a sweet as she has always been. Here warm, loving personality has definitely been sent down to her kids.

I just loved this picture of Sawyer throwing the wood chips.

Kirra and Jessica you are the best! Thank you so much for getting together. Sawyer and I had so much. Fitting us into your busy schedules means so much. I don't think either of you know how much we really appreciate it. Lets set up our next play date soon. Thanks again!!!

Happy 30th Birthday!!!

I can't believe it actually happened. I turned 30!!!! SCARY!!! I'm pretty sure that turning 30 has not been good to me. My metabolism seems to have shut down which is a major bummer. I'm getting wrinkles, the gymnastics class I take seems to be taking its toll on my joints. It seems like I'm just shutting down. Did this happen to anyone else or just me? Maybe I'm going through a mid life crises or something. Lets just face it, we all get older and some of the changes aren't that glamorous. What can you do...

I had a fantastic birthday this year. Mark and I had planned to go to Jackson Hole to celebrate, our plans changed when Hillary and Jason asked if they could come up to celebrate. What better way to spend your birthday than hanging out with family and friends. We were so excited that they wanted to come up. My day started out cleaning the gym. Fun right! Hillary and Jason had planned on arriving in Pocatello around 2pm so the kids could play between scheduled parties. They ended up getting a late start so Mark and I headed home to get ready for guests. While we were home the Schrades stopped by with a birthday gift. They are way to good to me. Thank you! It was really nice just hanging out talking and letting the kids play. They stayed for a couple hours, in the mean time Hillary and Jason arrived. The party was underway and Mark had started grilling the steaks. For anyone who doesn't already know Mark grills a mean steak. The best I've ever had. Thank you honey for a fabulous dinner! Don stopped by to celebrate as well. He ended up staying most of the night. I just really enjoyed hanging out with everyone, nothing to elaborate just enjoyed each others company, ate great food and let the kids play. Thank you everyone for making my birthday one to remember.

We did end up taking the kids to the gym before we drove to SLC. It was so much fun! Hillary and I took Davis and Sawyer down the ramps. They make great slides!

Who doesn't love jumping on the tramp. As you can see Jason was practicing his boarding skills. The boys were bouncing away. Davis loves the tramp! It's so much fun watching kids jump on the tramp. I didn't think Davis was ever going to get off!

Eva, Sawyer and Ella riding Thomas at the birthday bash!

Sawyer and Davis had their first sleepover. Isn't this an awesome set up? Sawyer has his elephant and tigger, Davis has his 3 guys, his blanked and 3 pillows. He is to funny! Look at what Sawyer is doing. Playing with his ears just like McKinnley.

Don't be to weirded out. We don't have a tub so the boys took a shower together. It was so funny! They loved playing in the shower almost as much as in the tubbie.

Davis playing on the pool table. This is a major "no no" but what can you do when 2 boys that love to climb are together.

Sawyer is one lucky boy! Playing with Emma, Ella, and Eva.

Hillary and Jason thank you so much for coming to Pocatello to celebrate my birthday. It means so much to both Mark and I. Sawyer loves playing with Davis, we love watching them together. They are the best of friends. Jennifer thank you so much for being such an awesome friend. It is so nice having someone to hang out with and talk to, not to mention girls that Sawyer never stops talking about. Your family has been so good to us. Thank you! Don it was really nice of you to come celebrate with us. Thank you as well.

One last birthday comment, to my twin(Katie). Happy Birthday!!! I want you to know how much I love you. I think about you all the time. We have been through some tough times these past couple years but I want you to know how much I love you. I couldn't have asked for a more special twin. You mean so much to me. I love you and hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Happy Halloween!!! Late.....

Did this year seem like Halloween lasted all week? In Pocatello it did! We started out with
a Ward party on Wednesday. Sawyer and I are usually in SLC on Wed. But since everyone had been sick we decided to stay in Pocatello. Sawyer and I went with Schrade's and their kids to the ward party. The kids really had a good time. Sawyer wasn't really in costume but thanks to Jennifer he we were able to give him a green Mohawk!Love it!!!

Perfect! Then on Friday we went to the school Carnival. Thanks to Jennifer we had another activity. What would I do without Jennifer.... I guess sit home. I ended up going to SLC on Thursday to pick up a costume for Sawyer. Lisa Rowland was sweet enough to make him a Candy corn Costume. Sawyer didn't want to take it off. We all loved it. I really was funny! The costume needed yellow pants which I couldn't find anywhere. So I tried to put him in a Giraffe Costume. He started crying saying "candy corn, candy corn". Its no joke. Ask the girls at the gym.

Here are Sawyer and Eva at the school carnival.I love candy just like my mommy!!!

A day with Riley and Parker!

Once you get behind on your blog it seems your always behind... Well, here is my attempt to get caught up.
My friend from the airport (Dylan) has two beautiful girls. Riley and Parker. Riley is the older sister she is 5 (I think), Parker is about 17 months. A little younger than Sawyer. Dylan finally asked us to come over and play with the kids. Sawyer and Parker played so well together. They had so much fun. Riley was really excited about her new kitten. She is one funny girl! Might I add she is all girl! She loves princesses, makeup, singing etc. She showed me everything she had and sang me a song. She isn't shy at all. Sawyer and Parker played with toys and surprisingly did a good job with sharing. It was great!!!! We all loved it and hopefully Sawyer will get to play with these beautiful girls again soon.Isn't Parker so beautiful? I love this pictures!
Sawyer was to busy playing with new toys to look at the camera. Riley and Parker were up for the shot!
Thanks again Dylan for having us over. We need to let the kiddo's play again.
