Karen worked at Maverick for many years where she enjoyed meeting and visiting people. She was well known for her contagious laugh and great sense of humor. Even though she spoke her mind, she had a heart of gold, giving generously and rearranging her schedule to help family or friends. She was a fantastic cook and a meticulous seamstress. She also loved to make quilts especially for new babies. Curling up with a good book was her idea of pure pleasure. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints serving in many capacities. Her favorite being a cub scout leader which she held for twelve years. She is survived by her loving husband Douglas, her children, Kenneth Bohn (Brenda) of Las Vegas, NV, Jay Bohn of Moab, UT, and Stephanie Carattini (Paul) of Las Vegas, NV, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Her siblings Linda Harris (Dale) of Cedar City, UT, and Kent Robertson (Darlene) of Sunnyvale, CA, her sister-in-law Taunnie Soderberg of Salt Lake City and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Kristin House (Leroy).
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Stake Center on Locust Lane. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Moab.
